We pride ourselves on the speed with which we transfer your money over to your bank account. It isn’t our money, it’s yours and we want you to have it as quickly as possible.
Two working days after the Direct Debit is collected the money will be transferred into your unique client account. If the amount is under £100,000 we transfer the funds using same day Faster Payments or via Bacs if the amount is over. Whichever system we use, we promise to pay you as quickly as the systems will allow us. That can’t happen with cheques. We can even arrange CHAPS payments.
If a Direct Debit does fail when we request it, we will inform you so that you can inform your customer. Ten days later, we will represent the Direct Debit, and represented Direct Debits have a high success rate.
Setting up your own Direct Debit arrangement with the bank can be expensive, difficult and time consuming.
To do so requires businesses to acquire their own Service User Number (SUN) and unless the turnover is at least £3 million this can be tricky. Even with that condition met, there's a lengthy sponsorship application process alongside some stiff staff training requirements and expensive software requirements.
This is why most companies turn to a Facility Management Bureau (FMB).
An FMB has done all the training, bought all the software, acquired all the accreditation and is supported by Bacs – the governing body for Direct Debit in the UK. Bacs has been maintaining the integrity of payment related services for over 40 years and is owned by 16 of the leading banks and building societies in the UK, Europe and the US.
Even if a business has a SUN the administration costs can be expensive, so many still choose to use a bureau.
