Luisa Grey, a Director at leading Direct Debit processing company, Eazipay Ltd, has been honoured by industry experts at this year's East of England Businesswoman of the Year Awards.

After three months of searching for the region's best businesswomen, Luisa, who along with fellow directors Ron and Kathy Bradney set up Eazipay in 2002, was named Finalist by a panel of judges for the ˜Rising Star of the Year' top prize at the 2011 awards.

The award ceremony took place at Ickworth House near Bury St Edmunds and included a speech from BBC business correspondent, Karen Hoggan.

Fourteen corporate and independent businesswomen from Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Suffolk and Norfolk made it through to the finals in the four categories “ Businesswomen of the Year, Rising Star of the Year, Entrepreneur of the Year and Start-up Business of the Year.

By promoting Direct Debit as the ˜smart way to pay, Eazipay,  which provides regular Direct Debit services to over 650 companies in a wide range of market sectors throughout the UK, Europe and beyond, has become the fastest growing Direct Debit bureau in the UK.

In June 2011, Eazipay recorded its best ever month for Direct Debit collections when a staggering £10.9 million worth of Smart Debits were processed on behalf of its clients.
