On more than one occasion the Prompt Payment Code has been publicly criticised for being far too slow to react when large corporate members have been accused of mistreating smaller suppliers.

Often referred to as a toothless tiger, the Prompt Payment Code was set up with no meaningful sanctions to act as a deterrent to paying SME suppliers late. One of its main downfalls is that you can still pay suppliers late and still be a member!

Ladies night aims to raise money for baby loss charity

A ladies shopping and pampering night is being organised in Little Downham, Cambridgeshire, to raise awareness and much needed funds for Petals, the baby loss charity that has been forced to suspend services due to lack of funding from the NHS.

Laura Warner, a Risk Co-ordinator at Eazipay Ltd, a leading Direct Debit and automated payment processing company in Ely, is organising the event, which will take place on 19th October at Little Downham Village Hall from 7pm to 9.30pm.
