eazipay sets new record as SMEs turn to Direct Debit

June 12, 2017

Eazipay Ltd, one of the UK’s leading automated payment processing companies, is celebrating an unprecedented start to 2017 with record breaking business performance levels.

A staggering £173.1 million worth of Direct Debits have been processed on behalf of its clients during the first four months of 2017, signalling the company’s best ever opening period in its 15 year history.

Around £40 million worth of Direct Debit collections were processed each month during April, February and January; however, March 2017 lays claim to Eazipay’s best ever month when £51.7 million worth of Direct Debits were processed on behalf of its clients.

Luisa Grey, Eazipay’s Director, comments, “We’re enjoying a fantastic start to the year in terms of business growth and success. Processing volumes are increasing all the time, new customers are constantly coming on board and with the launch of a host of new payment services we’re forging associations and partnerships with more and more businesses nationally and throughout Europe.

“If things continue as they are we should be celebrating one or two other major milestones later in the year, which will be amazing.”

The dramatic increase in the volume of work compared to the same period last year (up 16% or £27.9 million) is a clear indication that more and more SMEs are recognising that collecting regular payments by Direct Debit is the single most efficient way of controlling and regularising their cash flow.

“More and more businesses are realising that collecting their monies by Direct Debit is not only safe, secure and reliable, but also that automated payment processes like Direct Debit is one of the best ways for ensuring that they are paid on time”, adds Luisa.

Employing 24 full and part time staff in Ely, Cambridge, Eazipay was one of the first Direct Debit bureaus to receive ISO9001:2015 certification for Quality Management System and direct authorisation from City watchdog, the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).

In addition to its Direct Debit collection service, Eazipay also offers a range of other automated payment processing services including Faster Payments, Direct Credit transactions, SEPA Direct Debits for payment collection in Euros, and a new card payment service allowing its clients to collect and process customer payments via debit and credit card.
