Cambridgeshire-based Direct Debit and automated payment processing company, Eazipay Ltd, has reported a spike in the number of Care Homes looking at Direct Debit as a means of collecting their fees.

The company, which has been at the forefront of collecting and processing automated payments like Direct Debit for over 17 years, is receiving regular calls from Care Homes across the country actively considering using Direct Debit as a means of collecting fees rather than having to rely on costly invoicing and the risk of extended payment delays.

“Invoicing each month, and requesting payment by return, can be an expensive and inefficient way for Care Homes to collect their fees,” comments, Luisa Grey, a Director at Eazipay, adding: “Invoicing almost invites payment delays and it only takes one or two persistent late-payers to start having an impact on the standard of care and support that Care Homes work so hard to offer.

“By using a company like Eazipay, Care Home owners and managers can be confident that the full amount due will be collected on the date that it is due. Direct Debits simply don’t get lost in the post and provided that the funds are in the account, the amount owed will be collected on time.”

The majority of Care Homes are not large enough for banks to support an application to put a Direct Debit collection scheme in place and so lose out on the benefits that larger companies take for granted.

“That’s where we come in,” adds Luisa, “We have all the accreditation necessary to take on the responsibility for collecting Direct Debits on behalf of Care Homes.

“The process of working with us is simple and straightforward. This one easy change to the way fees are collected can transform a Care Home’s finances and can mean the difference between financial peace of mind or sleepless nights.”

Another important but less tangible advantage to working with Eazipay is the level of personal liaison with each of its Care Home clients with each having a dedicated account manager who understands the particular Care Home’s business and be the primary point of contact.

“Care Homes are all about people looking after other people and one of the elements our Care Home clients place a high value on is that they are not treated as anonymous account numbers when they partner with us. For us the personal connection our account managers have with their clients is paramount.”
