Direct Debit adventurer, carl ryan comes home for a rest!

February 14, 2014

Eazipay’s Carl Ryan, one of our expert Direct Debit Administrators, has just returned from a yearlong adventure, which took in many of the wonders of the wild west of Asia and Australia.

Carl, 25, who has worked for Eazipay for the past four years, flew to Thailand in October 2012 to start a one month tour of Asia with his friend Liam. Carl’s adventure began in Bangkok when, on day two, he met his girlfriend-to-be Katie – also 25, and at the time living in Reading. Making best use of seven hour bus journeys, overnight trains and planes, the trio travelled with a group of 15 to Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos and down through the North of Thailand.

From there they separated from the group and travelled down the west islands of Thailand down to Malaysia and took the time to visit the world famous Petronas Towers and trekked through the Cameron Highlands as they made their way down to Singapore.

An eight hour flight from Bangkok to Australia found Carl and Liam in Cairns where they spent two months travelling the east coast of Australia visiting the Great Barrier Reef, Whitsunday Island, Fraser Island, Sydney Opera House, Magnetic Island, Byron Bay, Brisbane, Rainbow Beach and the Blue Mountains.

Carl then spent two months in Melbourne where he worked in a factory and travelled the Great Ocean road. From there Carl said goodbye to Liam (who travelled home to the UK) and moved over to Perth with Katie where they worked on a farm planting Sandalwood trees.

After two and a half months the pair found themselves in New Zealand where they travelled the South Island and enjoyed a spot of skiing in Queenstown.

A further three weeks was then spent in Bali where Carl and Katie soaked up the sun and hopped the Gill Islands before making the journey back home.

Carl is now back with us at Eazipay, where, after all of his adventures, he’s come home for a rest!

Welcome back!
