May 9, 2011

Eazipay Ltd, a leading Direct Debit processing company based in Cambridgeshire, has recorded over 5,000 new Direct Debit payers as part of its fundraising efforts for Marie Curie Cancer Care's Great Daffodil Appeal.

Throughout April, Eazipay, one of the fastest growing Direct Debit bureaus in the country, donated 6p to Marie Curie Cancer Care for every new Direct Debit that was set up on behalf of its customers.

From 1st to 30thApril 2011, 5,227 new Direct Debits were set up raising £313.62 for the charity, a figure, which Eazipay has decided to increase to £400.

The Great Daffodil Appeal is the biggest fundraising event of the year for Marie Curie Cancer Care, which works tirelessly to ensure terminally ill patients receive the best possible care, including the option of being cared for in their own homes.

Eazipay supported the campaign through a ˜Driving Donations' promotion organised by Bacs, the governing body for Direct Debit, which has set a target of raising a total of £250,000 for Marie Curie Cancer Care.

Luisa Grey, Eazipays Director, comments, Marie Curie Cancer Care is a magnificent charity and we were delighted to have had the opportunity to support its Great Daffodil Appeal through our association with Bacs.

We would like to thank all of our customers who played a key role in promoting the campaign and encouraging their customers to sign up to Direct Debit. Their feedback and support has been fantastic and crucial to the success of our fundraising.

Eazipay, which was recently awarded the prestigious Affiliate status from Bacs, provides regular Direct Debit services to over 650 companies in a wide range of market sectors throughout the UK, Europe and beyond.

In March 2011, the company recorded its best ever month for Direct Debit collections when a staggering £9.8 million worth of Direct Debits were processed on behalf of clients during the month.
