Let's talk a little about the Single European Payment Area (SEPA). Yes, we know some would rather not, but SEPA could be very important to you if your business collects payments from overseas customers – or you would like to.

The idea behind SEPA was to create a platform where all Euro payments would be subject to the same set of standards. Everyone plays by the same set of rules. It's a rare instance where one size really does fit all.

Why are we telling you this? Well, one point is that billing customers in other countries can carry a certain amount of risk. Just imagine trying to recover a late payment from a company in Poland or Greece or any other EU member! Because Eazipay is a fully paid-up member of SEPA, we can collect Direct Debits and card payments from your customers across the EU and pay them into your account with a minimum of fuss and maximum efficiency.

Having the whole of the EU open for business is, on the face of it, a golden opportunity for business growth and we are here to support you every step of the way. We will minimise as much of the risk associated with collecting money from customers on mainland Europe as possible.

We hold all the necessary accreditations necessary to collect the payments on your behalf and deliver them to your bank account, on time and in full. It could be a one-off collection, or multiple regular or irregular payments – whatever the combination we can handle it.

Talk to us about how we can help your business be successful across Europe.

Eazipay. We make your cash flow.

direct debit in europe

Direct Debit in Europe comes under the remit of SEPA - the European Single Payments Area, which is an EU initiative designed to make cross-border cashless payments seamless.

Payments must be made and collected in euros, not Sterling, and all UK businesses collecting Euro-denominated payments are required to migrate to the SEPA Direct Debit Scheme, which is split into two parts.

SEPA Core Direct Debit is for B2C customers while SEPA B2B Direct Debit is for business to business transactions. (Note - the B2B scheme is optional, so not all banks will offer it.)

The B2B scheme gives payees no right to a refund, while B2C gives payers up to 13 months. The mandate process may also vary, with the payer having to send a copy to their bank. The mandate must be in the payer's language.

Bank details for SDD transactions are also different. Rather than the sort code and account number, businesses will require the customer’s Bank Identifier Code (BIC) and International Bank Account Numbers (IBAN).

With over 1,600 individual businesses working with us, coupled with twenty years' experience, you can trust Eazipay to know a thing or two about how important Direct Debit collections can be to your company. No matter what its size or how many years the business has been operating.

We know that integrating Direct Debits into your accounts system will have real, tangible, measurable benefits for your business.

How could it be otherwise? Money you are owed is collected in full and transferred to your account with a minimum of fuss and maximum reliability.

Over the last twenty years, we have developed a reputation for utter reliability, probity and responsiveness. We have grown year-on-year since our inception in 2002 and our clients operate in just about every conceivable sector in the UK, Europe and beyond.

unrivalled customer service

For us, top flight customer service has at its heart an understanding of your business and the unique ways in which your business operates. Our services are unique because you are unique.

We will do our utmost to align the services we offer to your own individual business needs. The way we see it, it’s the little things that mean a lot.

For us the big picture is made up of a mass of detail. Get the details right and the big picture emerges. That’s what we do. Details like who to collect from, where the money needs to go to, how much do we collect and how frequently do we collect it.

card payments

More and more customers now expect to pay for their purchases using a card when they are shopping, or to pay for goods and services when they are online. In fact, according to the UK Cards Association, four in every five pounds of spending at British retailers is now made through debit and credit cards.

For small businesses, therefore, the decision on whether or not to accept card payments is an important one and shouldn’t be overlooked. It can make a big difference to everything from the day to day running of your business to managing your cash flow and increasing profit.

Which is why we've expanded the range of payment processing services we offer and launched a new Payment Gateway, which allows you to collect and process credit and debit card payments from your customers.

It's fast, secure, incredibly easy to set up and will allow you to offer a card payment service via telephone or from your website.

professional

For us, being professional isn’t just about what happens within Eazipay. It’s about how we interact with you and adapt our services to match your needs.

For instance, your company name will appear on your customer’s bank statement, not ours. That way any potential confusion is avoided.

We provide you with a dedicated Account Manager who will be on hand to guide, help and support you, whatever query you may have.

Our success is down to our attention to detail and the level of service we provide to all of our customers. Every customer, no matter what their size, receives the same high quality of care.

You're in safe hands with Eazipay.

accreditations

We are proud of all of the accreditations and affiliations we've collected over the past 15 years ago. They are further proof that Eazipay is a professional, customer focussed company, able to supply top quality Direct Debit services to your business.

We recently passed – or repassed - our ISO 9001 audit and as a result have been awarded the new ISO 9001: 2015 status.

We are proud to be one of only 55 Bacs 'Affiliates'. These are drawn from leading banks, building societies and businesses such as Aviva, Deutsche Bank and NS&I, as well as government organisations like the Department for Work and Pensions.

We are also a Bacs 'Approved Bureau' and by granting us this, Bacs (the governing body for Direct Debit) has recognised that our Direct Debit services exceed exacting industry standards and that customers can feel confident when dealing with us.

We are also incredibly proud to have been the first Direct Debit Bureau to achieve direct authorisation from City watchdog, the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).
